Purrday Party/Gotcha Day

Please come!!!!

What: Purrday/gotcha day party for Patches, Mittens, Mistrie

Where: Big Piney Woods, by the fairy stump

When: 1:00 PST (Precious is going to be waiting by the woodshed at noon PST if you want to follow her to the fairy stump, in case you haven't been here before.)

The fairies are hosting the party. They are going to sing and dance and then sprinkle all of us with fairy dust and teach everycat how to fly! Mistrie and her bestest furriend Gree and Precious and her bestest bud Pepi already have tried it. Mittens is too scairt, so the scairty cats can hang with her (she said she will take anycat that wants to go, on a walk.) We will also play pin the tail on the mousie. (Mistrie has a real live dead mouse we can use.) Tuna cake, ice cream and milk will be served, followed by visitng. Hope you can come!!

Hey, Squirt, Momma says we can blog again! She says probably Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Her hairball musta come up, she is feeling better. Do you know what that means? I can tell the world how naughty you are!!!

AWARDS!!!

We have received three awards. One from The Meezers, one from Karen Jo and one from MaoMao. Oh, thank you so much!!! Now, we have to get Momma into gear to post them! She is having more stomach issues, so we are purring on her and hoping she gets better soon. We think she has a hairball!!! She says she thinks she will have to take a few more days off.

I Win!!!

I am the boss lady of the upstairs now, and chase Patches down all the time, especially at night. Momma feels sorry for her, cuz she always slept on the bed. I stay awake most of the night, protecting my terrain and killing the blanket monsters. Momma and Daddy say they are always waking up with cat furrs in their mouth. Do you think they might get a hairball?

has anybody seen my new furless furriend, Sue? She is about my Momma's size and height. She talks real soft and carresses my toes and is so nice to me. She lives in the Mitten State and has a tuxie cat called Edsel and a fluffy cat called Casey. I think she has a man called Steven, too. Oh, and she wears these metal things that hook behind her ears. She says it is to help her see my purrty face. Have you seen her?

Hi, Mistrie Here

Hi efurrycat. I am just finishing shedding out my winter furrs and it is time to start growing my coat all ofurr again. Momma made me the nicest bed efurr in the woodshed. She used a board up on the top of the wood (3 rows back in, from the end) and then put a blanket and an old coat of my Daddy's that has fleece lining. Then Daddy stacked the wood around the front, so I am well hidden and protected. It is the best bed yet. Momma made steps with wood so I can get into it easy, and I can get into it from the other end, where the blue blanket is. She got some Revolution for me today, to keep the vermins away. She said there is a feeling of fall, but I like it cuz it is 70 and sunny. I also got some great Temptations from my best bud Gree. (In a purple package.) They are mine all mine, and Momma got me some more today. Gree sent me a heated bowl for outside! Now I don't have to worry the water will freeze. I have to go now, and play with the fairies.

Hi:

Thanks so much for all your helpful comments on GERD and acid reflux. I switched from Prevacid to Prilosec OTC. The Prevacid, strangely, gave me heartburn, the Prilosec has seemed to cure the problem, well maybe not cured, but I have no more symptoms of nausea and I feel great.

I am going to continue on a break, until September. I have been blogging steady for 2 1/2 years, and need to take the rest of the summer off.

Going On A Short (I Hope) Break

I have something ongoing with my stomach (possibly acid reflux) and I have been pretty sick since Sue left. Thank goodness I was OK while she was here, but two days ago I went to the Dr. and got some Prevacid. Hoping it helps, no fun being nauseated all the time. So.......I have to take some time off, until I am feeling better.

If anyone has experience with it, I would appreciate hearing.

Momma just told me Sue is a long way away in the mitten state. I miss her. Maybe Edsel could teleport ofurr and we could talk and purr.

Edsel'sMom Sue

It was wonderful to meet Sue in person. She was just as I had imagined, and from the time I saw her in the airport, she seemed like an old friend. We spent hours sitting on the swing visiting, sharing our lives. It was emotional to see her go, even though we had just met (in person.) I will treasure her visit always; she is a very special lady.

This is for you Sue: BIG HUGS!!!!

Exciting Time!!!

Momma and Daddy took Edsel'sMom Sue to the Spokane airport yesterday morning. We will miss her so much (especially me.) At first I was shy, but she was so mellow and sweet and nice to me, that by the third day I claimed her and slept on the bed with her. She gives the best tummy rubs imaginable. Edsel is so lucky to have such a wonderful Momma. I know she missed him lots, cuz she told me all about him. I think he must be the most handsome mancat efurr, and the nicest, too.

Here she is giving me that special tummy rub.

There was a whirlwind of activity as her and Momma went shopping, to the parade and fireworks at the beach, and some sightseeing. Daddy went along, but not the shopping part. She efunn got to go up to Uncle Leigh's and see the Meezer twins!! They went out to supper twice and breakfast once and Sue got to meet our crazy human family on the 4th. She got to see an elk, deer (two with babies, one had twins) our 30 geese and ducks. She really loved the alpacas on a farm not far from here.

Momma says Edsel'sMom was just like she imagined, and that were laffin and laffin and laffin and talking about all you cat bloggers and how they both got started. They talked about happy things, and sad things, and I thought they must be best furriends the way they hit it off. I was awful sorry to see her leave, but I know Edsel must miss her terribly.

Well, I think I was her favorite. Patches would get her attitude going and Precious was shy, although she did warm up to her. She got to see Mistrie, but couldn't pet her.

Tomorrow Momma is going to post a couple pichers of the two of them.

Just Wondering

Momma says, if I am good, I can sleep with Edsel'sMom Sue!!! What an honor!!! I will be good, I promise. I won't bite her feets, not much, anyway. I might be shy at furrst. Momma says Edsel'sMom Sue is such a nice lady, luvs kitties, and will be missing Edsel, so I must make her feel at home. Does that mean Edsel'sMom Sue is going to be put in solitary at night? The room she is going to stay in is my solitary confinement place. I don't think it is too nice to put company in solitary, do you?

Wednesday Weather And Fortune

I don't care what Miss Patches, the Catority Authority, says. I am going to give a weather and fortune repurrt.

Weather repurrt: Hot in the East, South and Southwest, cold in the North West, storms in the midsection with more flooding in Iowa. 50% chance you will like your weather. (For those of you wondering if we got snow. NO, it was up in the mountains, we are in the valley. I think people might put sticks on their feet and slide down, efunn in June.) There might be snow in Montana.

Fortune: Seek and ye shall find. There is a toy you haven't thought of, hiding.

Last night, Momma and Daddy moved 60 pots of flowers into the garage cuz Momma was afraid of a freeze. Well, it was 42 this morning, so now she is busy moving them all back. I am snoopervising, becuz she is furrgetful and probably will put them in the wrong place.

Precious: Patches, all my furriends think I do a good job of the weather and fortune telling.

Patches: Yeah, right! They are just being polite. You are just guessing.

Precious: But I am guessing right and efurrycat wants me to continue. Besides you aren't my boss.

Patches: I am the Catority Authority and what I say goes, in the Big Piney Woods.

Precious: You are just a bully. Just wait until Wednesday. Wanna box?

Patches: No, and I wish you would grow up.

I Am Not A Fraud!!!!

Patches says she is the Catority Authority and she is firing me from my job as weather repuurter. She gives the reason as "awful weather." She says if I was a weather repurrter worth my salt, I would make it nice in the Big Piney Woods and not just ofurr places. I whapped her on the head.

She also said my fortunes are stupid. Efurrycat gets temptations. She says I am a fraud so I whapped her agin. I smelt her tail, and she turned and tried to whap me, but she missed, I am too fast for her. Now she is up in the cat tree, pouting. I am gonna go see what Momma is doing.

Wed. Weather And Fortune

It is getting warmer as June arrives, except in the Pacific Northwest and some of the northern states. Some places are down right hot, some cooler than they should be, others are normal for this time of year. There are some storms on the horizon but they are hit and miss, unless you live in selected spots (you know who you are.) Then it will rain. For the most part, it is a good week to enjoy the spring. Sorry, it will remain dry in New Mexico (William) and tornadoes are a threat in Oklyhoma.

I have decided to add fortune telling to my weather repuurt. At this time, I am not doing private fortune telling lessons. (Felix, Garfield & Jawsy asked)

Bleeding Hearts

Night before last I got put in solitary cuz I was biting Momma's toes constantly, and wouldn't let her go to sleep (Daddy is fishing.) Last night I controlled myself until 4:00. Momma got up at 4:30 and said something about "being naughty." She said Patches doesn't even sleep with her anymore, cuz I "hassle" her all the time. I am afraid I will end up in solitary tonight. She says I need to burn off more energy in the daytime, but the night time is for fun, right?

Wednesday Weather Repurrt

Hi furriends:

Precious Flower here with your Wed. weather repurrt. It will be hot in the south, stormy in the midsection (watch for severe storms and maybe a torn-ado,) and a 50% chance of something, either rain or sun. This weather forecasting is just too easy. I think I will add fortune telling to my forecast.

Precious: I have a secrit. Can I tell a secrit if it is a real true secrit and not just something Patches "thinks" is a secrit.

Mittens: Of course, I am old and knowledgeable and you can tell secrits that Patches tells you, cuz they aren't real true secrits.

Precious: OK, somecats Momma, one of the cat bloggers, is cumin to the Big Piney Woods for a bisit.

Patches: Precious, you liddle Squirt! I told you it was a secrit!! (Whaps her on the head.) I can't trust you at all.

Mittens: I am old and knowledgable and I won't tell anycat or anyone, but I think my status dictates I should know.

Patches: Whispers in Mittens ear, because Mistrie is outside listening.

We are all so sad, here, in the Big Piney Woods. Our dear furriend Bonnie went to the Bridge yesterday. Play happy in the flowers, Bonnie, we loved you!

13 Thing Momma Does to Irritate Me

1. She won't let me in the Big Out.
2. She doesn't give me enough temptations.
3. She won't let me steal Mitten's food.
4. She closes the bafroom door tight, and tells me it is rude to open it.
5. She won't let me pick on Mittens.
6. She let's Squirt pick on me when I want to take a nap.
7. She cuts my nails, even though I have them beautifully sharp.
8. She picks me up, swings me around, while singing "Wonder Woman."
9. She takes MY chair and sits next to me, which crowds me.
10. She is always kissing on me.
11. She doesn't respect me. (I don't know what that means, but it sounds good.)
12. She lets me on the upstairs deck and forgets me. Then goes all ofurr the house looking for me.
13. She tells me I am in HER way, when she is in MY way. (Mutters something about almost tripping.) She should say she is sorry she almost steps on me.
