New Years Eve

I can't quite figure out this new year thing. Why do we need a new year? What is wrong with the year we have? Did it wear out, or get old, or sick, or just tired of being our year? From what I have heard, no year stays around for more than 365 days. Must be a tough job. And where does the old year go?

I'm not sure what the answers are, either. But I really like holidays because it means that I get goodies like fancy feast. I don't get it a lot coz its not so good for me. I think people should make up more holidays so we can have more treats!

Oh, and Precious, don't let anyone give you any guff about your paws! I think everything about you is just the bestest!!

Mum used to close the book on the year, so she used to put years away all the time.

So whatever, Happy New Year to all in the Big Piney Woods.

I think it's just a way for our moms and dads to mark stuff. Kinda like when we rub our faces on things. I don't think they can do that so they do this.

Anyway, Happy New yYear to you and Patches and Mittens and Mistrie and Calico Mom and Calico Dad!
