That Didn't Hurt

I dug my hind claw deep into Momma's leg today. I was on her lap working on our blog and started to slip; what is a girl to do? She yelled, "OUCH," really loud. They are so thin skinned. I purred nice to her, though, and she doesn't seem mad or anything. You can see how sweet I am, also notice the tatoo under my chin.

Crabilation Alert!

Yes, I put The Squirt in her place. She followed me upstairs onto the big napping place. She made the mistake of laying on her back and batting at me. I got on top of her, giving her a good what for and screamed my blood curdling yowl. She ran away and now her and Mittens are comparing notes on how vishus I can be, and how they better watch out when I get crabilated.

Precious Shows Off

Here you can see a few of my soft paws. I love hanging over the railing upstairs, and looking down and out. I can see what is going on inside the cabin, and what is going on out on the pond and check out Mistrie, all at the same time.

Torbie Tuesday

Mistrie comes for a brushing

and a soak in the sun. She wintered well, but is glad it's spring! She flies around the yard, playing with leaves and bugs, watches the ducks and geese on the pond, visits with the fairies and snoozes in her bed on the deck.

Meezer Monday

Momma found a couple pictures on her camera of the Meezer twins. Which one is Bonnie Big Eyes; which one is Molly Mew.......we still can't tell.

Is It Just Us?

This is what we get when we try to comment on blogs (this is Willow's blog.)
It happens over and over and finally we just give up. If we are lucky enough to post, when we go to publish it, half the time we lose it and have to start over. Is anyone else having this trouble?
UPDATE: We installed Firefox, that doesn't work any better.

Vishus Moose Rug

It isn't enough we have real live vishus moose in our yard, Momma had to buy a rug that has pichers of them on it. Maybe it is because she is forgetful and needs help remembering what they look like.

We have eight turkeys around all the time now, too. One is a big Tom, and he fans his feathers and struts, eating the goosie foods. I think I don't like them so much.

Friday The 13th

Firday 13th is unlucky
At least that's what Momma just said
So I think I will find me a hidey hole
Maybe under the table or bed

And snooze away all the daylight
Until the danger is gone
Then jump on her lap, making biscuits
And sing her a sweet kitty song

Thoughtful Thursday

The idea of Thoughtful Thursday came from Angie.

I am thinking about how much my Momma loves me and how thankful I am to have her and the other kitties here in the Big Piney Woods. I am thankful for my Daddy being patient with me cuz I am just a youngster (he even says that.) I am thankful for all my blogging buddy furriends.

~Precious Flower~

Pee Ess.....BK wanted to see a picher of my soft paws, but the fur is too long atween my tosies and you can't even see them at all, maybe because they are clear.

Soft Paws

My new soft paws don't show, because all the vet had was clear. Momma is going to order me some purple ones for next time, but with my fuzzy toes, she says they probably won't show up too well. Momma put my pink collar on and brushed me good, so I would look nice. They couldn't believe how big I have gotten and said something about what love can do. It took two of them to put the paws on; they said I was a wiggle worm.

Tummy Tuesday By Precious

Momma and Daddy are putting me in the PTU today at 11:30 to take me to TED's. I have to get soft paws; I hope they are purrty like Skeezixs nails. The officer lady didn't know if they came in colors or not.

Monday Mews by Mittens

Beware, the friendly email card!!!
Momma got an email that said someone had sent her a card and to click on the link. She thought someone was sending her an Easter greeting, but they were sending her a Trojan Horse (is that like a vishus deer?) She said, luckily (she is too trusting) when she clicked on the link it said it had gone over it's allotted amount, and to come back later; I guess lots of people thought the same thing. She got to checking and found out what it was, did two virus scans and everything is OK. I am glad she doesn't have a virus or a horse in her computer. She says be careful about email cards, they look legitimate. She isn't going to open them anymore and she said it is a sad state of affairs.

They Are No Fun!

I went upstairs in the furless ones napping place, where Patches and Mittens were, of course, napping. First I stalked Mitten's moving tail. She just laid there and growled and moaned, no fun. Patches tail was twitching so I went after it. She ran downstairs all crabilated and buttified. You would think they would learn to keep their tails still, a moving tail is a target for a little tiny girl like me. Oh, and that is the biggest nappy place I have efurr seen.

Tagged

I was tagged by Willow and Beezie. Sorry this is so late, those Meezer babies took a lot of watching. I was the main kitty sitter, Momma kind of fell down on the job and Patches napped way too much. And then Mittens, of course, stayed upstairs the whole time. I did learn from them that you can climb the cat tree in two jumps, though!!

Five reasons why I blog:

1. I have so much to tell, and nobody else is really interested except other cat bloggers.
2. Gives me a chance to ask Momma lotsa questions, like how do you spell asplore and basgetti.
3. Gives me a chance to sit on Momma's lap, cuz she says windows go flying when I do things by myself.
4. I can keep in touch with 4 zillion other kitties.
5. Because I can.........

I am not tagging anyone, I think everyone has been tagged, but if not, go ahead and give it a try.

Yesterday's Wait

These were taken yesterday of two kitties, waiting for their Momma and Daddy. Before they left they both wrapped their bodies around my neck, (at the same time) purred, mewed and head bumped me. It was unbelievably sweet.

Waiting patiently

I think I hear them! Quick, get in the carrier...

Hi, Momma and Daddy, we are ready to go home!

Last Day at Grandmas

Oh, this looks tasty.

Come on, let's explore.

Back to killing the roni.

Bonnie Big-Eyes: Molly, are you lonesome for Momma and Daddy, I am kind of homesick for them and the woofie, Princess.

Molly Mew: Yeah, but they are coming today or tomorrow to take us home.

No April Fooling!

The Meezers are just as cute as Meezers can be, and then some!!

Have you seen those big cats?

No, but come look. There is another one of us over here!
GrandmaToni says it is a meeror. Is that like another meezer?

Yes, this roni IS fun! GrandmaToni is sending some home with us.
She also put some miceys in a sack!!

CalicoMom here with an update: The Meezer have settled in, but they like to climb up inside the recliners, go behind tiny places, and in general disappear, so it is supervised play when they are out of the bathroom. Patches hides up in Mitten's closet, and Precious goes upstairs, too. I am quite surprised. They are leaving on Monday, sometime, so I am not going to push any further contact.

Hello Meezers!

Hello, my name is Patches, what is your name?
Momma is this Bonnie Big Eyes, or Molly Mew?

I think I will just stay in here for a while.
There are three, no four big cats around this place!!

Note from Momma: I have them confined to the bathroom and let them out from time to time. One is very nosey, the other very timid. When Precious met one, she hissed, the first time I have ever heard her do that. The little Meezer growled and growled. I can't tell them apart.

The Meezers Are Coming!

I heard Momma telling Daddy the Meezers (our cousins) will be here any minute now! I know tomorrow there will be pichers and noos.

I guess they have new names. They are now called Bonnie Big Eyes and Molly Mew!!! I can't wait to see them!!!

What Is Up?

Something strange is going on. I have heard whispers between Momma and Daddy, about kittensitting. Momma said something about Meezers, that is all I know. I am furry worried.
I know whatever it is, it is happening amarrow.

March Is Flying

Momma said March is flying by, so I am watching for it. She didn't say if it had wings, but I am assuming, because it can fly, it does.

Do Not Assurb

Patches went upstairs, while I stayed under the dining room table, meowing and meowing for her. She wouldn't answer me at all, so I decided to go up and see what she was doing; well, she was sleeping, so, here I am, upstairs, waiting for her to wake up. See what a good girl I am not to assurb her? Momma says go ahead and assurb her because she assurbs Momma and Daddy at 3:00 AM Pacific Daylight Savings Time ina morning.

Thinking

Mittens: (thinking) What is Squirt doing up here?
Patches: (thinking) I suppose she is going to attack me as my back is turned.
Precious: (thinking) I think I will attack Patches because her back is turned.
Momma: (thinking) I never thought I would get them all in the same picture.

Fairy Viewing

What: Fairy Viewing
Where: Big Piney Woods by stump in picher
When: Today, Friday Sept. 23
What time: Dawn to dusk

Many of you made comments about the fairies in the Big Piney Woods, so we decided to invite one and all to come over for a fairy viewing. For those of you new to fairies, remember to sit furry still, (easy for us cats) don't even move a whisker; they are furry shy at first. You can tell they are around by seeing a shadow, hear an unexplained noise, or feel a breeze on your face when the air is still, smell the scent of a flower when you aren't in a garden, or feel a presence.

We picked this stump because we have seen fairies in it afore. If you see one, please leave a comment and let efurrycat know what you saw.

Fairies In The Forest

Deep in the Big Piney Woods is a fairy house. Mistrie loves to play with them and they love and protect her. Anyone can get fairies to stay, if they have a place for them to live. Ours is gnarly roots from a tree that toppled over eons ago, left to weather and grow moss and lichen.

Some things you need to get a fairy house started:

A stump, or piece of driftwood with places they can hide.
Mushrooms or toadstools, for tables and chairs.
Dried leaves, for flooring and to make their beds.
A quiet place, they hate noise, although they love wind chimes.
Ferns are nice; they like to hide under their shade, but not necessary.
They love flowers, especially pansies.
A gazing ball is nice, but not necessary.
You will know when they are inhabiting their house as there will be lots of butterflies around.

A Day Late

Spring arrived today
The sun is high above
Days are longer still
We hear the mourning dove

Spring arrived today
Soon the geese will nest
We hear the robin's song
As the sun sets in the west

Spring arrived today
Momma says it's so
The sun is warm upon the soil
As green things start to grow

Changes

Abby said, in my comments yesterday, "When I look at your pictures now and compare them to the way you were when you just came to live your Mom and Dad, I can't believe the difference. You have blossomed into a magnificient girl."

A week after my rescue; (I was a tiny girl.)

Six months later; (I am a big girl, now.)

More Trouble

I guess I killed the lamp. Momma said the bulb is "shot." I only pushed it a little with my pawsie, then it lost it's balance and fell. Momma came tearing up the stairs and called me ~Squirtwhathaveyoudonenow~. She didn't put me in time-out, I guess she gave up on that.

I am going to look furry remorseful.

OK.....I think it is time to attack the roni!!!!

Probably Not

If your Momma is standing with her back to you, it probably isn't (no, I can almost guarantee it isn't) a good idea to use her leg as a scratching post. Now I am in time-out.

My new name is:

Grooming The Grasses

I am watching and waiting for Momma and Daddy to come inside. They took big combs and brushes today; they are grooming the grasses. They are setting the piles of stuff they pick up on fire!!! They come in smelling like smoke and sweat, so they jump into the big rain box. They say, when they come out, they feel like new people. I kinda like the old people.

It got so warm and then it rained, taking all that white stuff, turning it into water. We see green!!!!
