Update from CalicoMom Toni: We always wondered about Mistrie and Winter, and how they were interacting. We got our first chance to find out, last night. Winter was sitting on the back deck on the seat, and Mistrie came from the front of the house, on the south side, through the bushes, as the snow has receded there. She got real "cat flat" and stalked up on Winter, who just looked at her. Eventually, Mistrie jumped up on the deck, right below Winter. Winter finally turned around and started backing up, eventually jumping down, and, we figure, went under the deck. It has been three months since Winter came, we somehow thought they would be better friends, but Mistrie is very possessive of her territory; maybe in time.

Mittens, you have great whiskers! Yours show up so nice since they're white.
Purrrrrrs,
your bud Pepi
Pee Ess to Mom Toni: That's not so bad. I might have tried to clobber somecat else who was near my stuff. Come to think of it, I did that when I lived outside. And we all still have territory spats inside sometimes. Just a cat thing. Mini was one of those cats I tried to clobber when we both were OUT, and now (after like a year or so heheh) we sleep in the same cat bed to keep cozy at night. So try not to worry too much.
Hi Mittens! you're looking very lovely today!
We agree wif what Pepi saided - it's a territorial thing. Mistrie does not haf a prollem with Patches and Mittens and Precious because they is not invading her territory. Maybe she will get used to Winter.
Hi to our bestest furriends!!
Beautiful photo, Mittens! You have lovely whiskers.
Hopefully Mistrie will get used to Winter in time.
We agree with above. Mistrie says "I'll tolerate you, but you better keep to your own side." We think they will become companionable before too long. Winter didn't run right away, so that must mean something is being worked out.
Hello Mittens!
I think that they are still getting used to each other. Mistrie didn't run her off the property or fight with her.
Mittens, you look pretty!
I think it is good that Mistrie and Winter can tolerate each other and there has been no fighting.
Nice whiskers, Mittens!
I hope the other girls get to be friends, but maybe the best you can hope for is tolerance (kinda like how Olivia and Caroline work it).
Those are some very cool whiskers!
At least they are not fighting so there is hope, given time.
You have lovely Mittens whiskers.
Oops sorry Mittens. Did we really call you Whiskers? Think we must need a nap.
You're all gorgeous. Perhaps everybody will be friends when it it summer and there's more to eat. I'd like to tell you (and all your friends) that I’ve written a scathingly-funny book, The World Is Your Litter Box, which will be out May 6th. The book is cleverly disguised as a cute cat book so humans will buy it, but is, in fact, a how-to manual FOR cats. Check it out on my website, www.theworldisyourlitterbox.com.
We hope Winter becomes more accepted and accepting... Its a hard life bein outside alone.
Mittens you are a very pretty calico girl, nice to meet you.

Hi Miss Mittens!
You are looking so pretty, Its nice to see you.
I hope Winter & Mistrie learn to share. Maybe when it gets warmer the fairies will come out of their winter sleep and help them work it all out.
I bet as long as there is enough chow it'll all be fine!

Mittens you are looking furry loverly today.
I hope the outside kitties can learn to get along. I always worry about Mistrie being outside. Maybe having a furiend outside with her would be good.
Maybe they will become friends eventually!
Beyootiful whiskers! Maybe Winter will want to come inside and den Mistrie will too...
NICE whiskers!
