On Purring

I don't purr lots, just when I am furry happy, but Mittens does, her purred mine Mom to sleep last night.

Did you know that scientists can send a man to the moon, but they don't know what it is inside us that makes us sing? We are purty amazing creatures, and we are going to keep our secret. It is also a fact that kitties purr, not only when they are happy, but when they are sick, (they think there is something in our purrs that help heal) and when kitty moms are having kittens.

Give your purrsons lotsa purrs, they really luv it!

Mia, one of the cats that lived here before us, used to purr through her V.E.T. exams so loudly the doctor couldn't listen to her heart. Some of us don't have a "high/low" switch apparently.

We Meezers are always making some sort of noise - meows, purrs, grunts, squeaks. Mommy says we never shut up. We likes to purr mommy to sleep and then purr in her ears to wake her up

Our mom says there's nothing nicer than a kitty purr.
By the way Patches, this picture of you shows your colors off very nicely!

When I was really tiny, the only time I would purr is when my cat mom fed me. I only started to purr for my mom Mom after I had that operation.

Patches,
I am like you I don't purr much but when I do, I have a good purr. I 'specially like to do it just as mum and I are relaxing and getting ready for sleeps.

My Ep purred as soon as she saw me. Her greetings always were the best. She purred a bunch for me. I also loved her tail. Made me wish I had one just like it! It was like a radar letting me know she was happy, content, mad, or ready to retaliate. I bet my co-workers wish I had a tail as well!

I reserve my purr for special occasions, but I meowed a lot before Victor came. Since then, I growl and hiss so much, I've been hoarse. They laugh when I turn a squeek into a growl. How dare they?!

I have a LOUD purr but soft meows. Dad says he sees the mouth moving, but there's no sound. Mom says a cat before us had a loud purr that seemed to hic-up at the ends... rrrr, rrrr, rrrr, hic, rrrr, rrrr, rrrr, hic. She only stayed with my people from when she was 10 to 12, so they don't know if she always purred like that or if it was from toomers inside.
