Nap-A-Thon Report

Report of the Kitty Nap-A-Thon 2006

Efuryone had a wonderful time. There was much to purr and meow about; exchanging all sorts of kitty data.

Here is a list of some fun things we did:

Mittens and I tried to judge the purring contest, but it was not possible, as they were all so good.
Nip tasting was a great success; a few had a bit too much (no names divulged.)
Plates of stinky goodness and bowel of crunchies were eaten and the treat hunt was a lot of fun.
Efuryone found a special place to nap, some alone, others all cuddled up in huge, furry piles.
We practiced looking cute, sad, and innocent.
The stinky shoes were a hit, as was climbing the shelves.
Billers talk on "how to get the most out of your human without them knowing it" gave us all something to meditate on.
In the middle of the night we all got "the crazies" and went downstairs. We raided the kitty cupboard for treats I knew Mom had hid (shh......this one is a secrit)
Mom's jewelery became a toy but the kitties were good and put everything back as best they could. Mom did ask how the fur got in her necklace, I just gave her that "dumb look." (She did knock on the wall one time, telling us to "hold the noise down" afore Dad woked up. The boys were all seeing who could "Tom cat yowl" the loudest. It was such fun, us girls all sat round and listened. Mistrie said they all did really good, and she should know, being an outside kitty.)

Mistrie on her way to the Nap-A-Thon. She said all the kitties were so nice to her.

There were 50 (possibly 51, see below) kitties who attended, including the three of us; and our cousin Billie, who gave the talk, and cided to stay.

We want to thank all kitties who brought things to show and share. Lots of nip was exchanged and cool beds, blankets, and a terrific amount of toys. What a great group we had.

I thought there was one suspicious looking kitty, possibly a disguise. They seemed to have a funny meow and a strange doggy smell. I wondered if it could be Lola, the dog. I never got their name. Nobody said anything though, probably my 'magination.

All kitties have reported in to me they are all safely back in their furrever home, and strangely, all of them say they need a nap.

Here am the button. Help yourself.

P. S. We all decided this should be an annual event. Mom said we could alway have it here, but maybe someone else would like to host it next year.

I woke up to having Taz.... yes Taz and NOT Angel, snuggling up against my side. It was right about the time the nap-a-thon was over. :O)

I'm back home in London, I had a really good time, the American brand of Stinky Goodness was particularly tasty! I did get rudely awakened from my nap at one point when some crazed kitten or other used my fat stomach to trampoline on - I'm not sure who it was but it could have been Buddah... Thanks for your hospitality!

It was so good that you and Daisy came all that way from Londons. I think it was Buddah who jumped on you, but I am not sure, don't want to point paws.

Me again. My mum can't work out how to put the button on the sidebar of my blog either. Perhaps next time you stop by my blog, you might kindly leave her a few hints? Mums are not that bright.

Some of you am having trouble with the button. Mom tried putting the code here in the comment box and it keeps telling her it won't accept that type of code. She says to email her at:
calicomom@thecalicogirls.com

She will try and help you out!!

Fat Eric it could have been Scout pouncing on your stomach. He's a jumper and doesn't know when to quit. Thanks for the fun time Calico's. Next year we need more stinky goodness...don't we Fat Eric? -Shaggy
Mom never suspected we left, but she was puzzled when she saw some ginger colored fur on my back this morning. -Scooby

A thousand thank yous for hosting such a great party. There was so much to do, I didn't even notice Victor, except when he was chasing Buddah and Scout. Even though I'm tired from a big night, I feel really good. Thanks to your mom, too, for being a good bean. Great party!

Thanks again for the purrific party. Sorry I had to leave early, but I spilled somfing on my white legs and had to go home to clean up. Mom caught me and gave me a BATH! But I had a great time anyway and I snuck the button into the sidebar without Mom noticing. I'm looking forward to next year already!

I still wanna know whose butt was in my face when I woke up!

Big Piney Woods Cats said...

Will the kitty whose butt was in Max's face, please stand up!

prairiesunshine said...

Mighta been Angel's butt in Max's face... she has a big butt, its kinda bald too.... OUCH! MAMA! Angel hit me!!!!

Oh yeah I wanted to say I thought that was a funny looking kitty! Lola is a pretty smart puppy to not only figger out the telecortation thing but to dress up as a kitty. Needs to work on her meow though...

Angel says thank you for helping keep her bald tummy warm.

Now we has to figger out how to telecort ourselves to Hawaii or somefing cuz we're getting tired of the snow. Anybody want to have a hoooola pardy?

Luv Taz

I hope we can all do it again next year whoever hosts it!!! Thanks for the button too :)

Thanks so much for the good time! I can't believe I missed all of those crazy events...I guess that's what I get for being such a sound sleeper.

Oh, and Max...Brach thinks it may have been him that had his butt in your face. He is rude that way...that's how he rolls.

I apologize on his behalf.

Magoo, Smudge, Bella & Dolce said...

Magoo said that he had to write an apologize for anything Dolce might have broken during her catnip crazies. He says it was Bella's fault because she was supposed to be watching her while Edsel, Timothy, Oreo, Max and him discussed the preseason schedule for the FITHL.
