Look At My Hollow Cheeks

This morning it was disgustingly late (4:35 AM) and the Furless Ones had been napping for hours. It was way past feeding time. Momma had her hand hanging off the side of the bed, so I licked it, and she just put it under the covers. Then I walked on her and purred in her ear. I went downstairs and did my famous "get up" yowl! I did this for five minutes, finally I went back upstairs, thinking she was surely dead! She came around at 5:30, and fed us, by this time I was a complete a rack of bones!! I was so emancipated my face was hollow and I felt weak and shaky. I think I have her talked into leaving the food bowl down all the time.

You look as if you could fall over in a faint any time now. I am so sorry for your horrible morning.

Ours was late this morning too.
Somedays our mom can be so lazy. It took all 3 of us to pry her out of bed.

Poor, poor Patches! I can tell you are just going to waste away to nothing! This is very unacceptable.

You poor thing! That has happened to us here, too, and it's not good!

Oh, we are so sorry that you didn't have your food when you demanded it. We always have food down, but only because of Tiki. she needs to be able to snack whenever he wants.

Oh you poor dear. We can see you are terribly malnourished. How could your mum make you wait like that when you were on the verge of collapse? We hope you have made her payfurr her neglect.

They did this to us on Thursday and I have still not quite gotten over it...

Here's what I do:
I make a fuss at bedtime. I make sure that there is food in my bowl for over night munchies. I won't settle down for sleepies until I'm sure that there is enough to keep me happy until morning. This way I get to sleep in too!

Purrs & kisses to my Squirt

Yer lucky she got up early. We hafta wait until The Big Thing wakes up no matter what we do.

Like I jumped on his tummy once and he just rolled over an said "jump on my back please".

I efen sneeze in his face an all he does is pull the sheet over his head...

Oh, milady Patches, my sweet! I am so sorry you suffered such a difficult morning. It is a challenge to train humans, isn't it? As Alpha Cat I try hard to do what I can to keep mine in line, but it isn't always easy.

I hope you are feeling better, honey, and I am bringing over a lot of stinky goodness for us to share -- and my floof for you to snuggle into!

Rumbly purrs, kisses, and love from your Mancat, Brainball.

Love and kisses from Your Brainball.

Oh, my, I'm sorry you had to wait so long for your breakfast. I hope you have talked the Mom into leaving you some food overnight.

I know exactly how you feel! My Meowm is so ssssllllllooooooowwwwww in feeding me. It is all I can do to crawl to the bowl when she finally gets there. I have no idea how the outside cats do it.

You did such a good job trying to "gently" wake up your momma. How could she let you starve like that?

When my mom won't get up after a few reminders that I am hungry, I have to chase Tommy through the house and make lots of racket so she will finally get up...but you are such a sweet lady you probably couldn't be that rambunctious.
