I will Always Love You, Little Man

It is with a heavy heart I had to send my Little Man to be re-fostered. I am no longer able to take care of him as my stomach issues have resurfaced. I am crying as I write this, he was so special to me...maybe I am not foster material. I feel like such a failure, last night he put his little nose on my lips, his paws on my face. I can't even look at his pictures. I won't be blogging for a while. I have an appointment with the specialist later this month. Keep Little Man in your thoughts as he starts his journey through life.

Oh Toni, we're so sorry!
He was such a darling and we understand how tough it must have been to let him go.
Please feel better soon, physically & emotionally.

You ARE good foster mom material! Don't be discouraged just because you had to re-foster him. *hugs*

Concentrate on getting better, and your kitties who are your constant companions. The little guy is a better candidate for adoption already because of your love and care for the past few days!

It's always hard to let them go; as I said in my e-mail, I cry every time I leave one of my fosters at his/her new home. Look at what you've given him over the time you've had him! He got love, a place inside where it's warm, good food, constant attention (which is sooo important at the early stages), and the opportunity to love someone back.

He obviously loves you, by what you've said. That's sooo sweet that he kissed and hugged you! One of our foster boys shared a nose kiss with me when I left him at his new home. So he will have the memory that his first (albeit foster) home was with someone he loved and who loved him. That's major when it comes to adoptability!

Oh gosh, I am so sorry. But you did a great thing for Little Man and got him started off really well.

I hope you will feel better soon so you can foster again. There is no shortage of bebbeh kittens who need you when you are ready!

We are so sorry that your stomach problems have returned and it means you are unable to continue to foster Little Man. He knows how much you loved him though, and it has given him a good start. He obviously loved you in return so you must keep those happy memories of his time with you.

Dear Toni,

We're very sorry that your stomach issues have returned. We so enjoy reading about the Big Piney Woods Cats (and people). Your loving spirit is very much in evidence in the pictures, poems, and stories that you are kind enough to share with us. We will be keeping you and Little Man in our thoughts and prayers.

Love,

We are sorry your health problem has resurface and made it impossible for you to care for the Little Man right now. Don't feel like a failure you did a wonderful thing by opening your heart and bringing him in. He will never forget you for your kind loving home that you gave him and you started him off right!

We're sorry to hear you're feeling poorly again. And how sad that you had to find Little Man another place to stay. :-( But he'll always remember his first true mom. :-)

Feel better soon!

Oh Toni, I know jus thow you feel. I only had the 6 little babies from the feral Mom for a week last year, but I fell in love in that short a time. Taking them to a foster was the hardest thing I have done in a long time. Hang in there, the pain does pass. And don't you aren't foster mateiral, because you may be....you just have to decide if you can handle letting them go each time.

Myself and the boys will be purring for you and we are sending you hugs and gentle headbutts.

We are so sorry you are feeling bad again. Little Man was given enough love by you to see him through this transition period. It is hard, but you need to take care of yourself, or you can't take care of him. We think you were a wonderful foster mom, and know once you are feeling better again, if you can let one go again, you will be an even better one the second time around. You loved and cared for him so much and that is the best you can do.

Hugs and purrs Calico Mom. I am sorry to hear your tummy troubles are back, stress of caring for such a little one?

You take good care of yourself. Little Man and you had a special relationship, even if it was a short one. He loved you by the fact he gave you nose kisses.

Calicomom Toni, we are so sorry you couldn't continue to foster Little Man, but he will be fine, and you need to focus on getting better. Don't underestimate yourself because of health problems, please? You gave him love and that is what he needed, and we are sending you love, because that is what you need ...
Hugs, purrs and headbutts,

Toni, don't be hard on yourself, you gave Little Man love and wonderful care whilst you could which is a most wonderful thing and will have set him up just right for his life journey. We know how emotionally draining fostering can be. You concentrate on getting well yourself now and good luck with the doc!

Regardless of what happens to Little Man in the future, you were there when he really needed help and that should give him a great start and last him a long time.
