Health Update from CalicoMom Toni:
Hi and thanks to all for your concern. Here is what has happened so far:
My GP sent me to a Gastroenterologist in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, (60 miles from home) last week, who did an endoscopy yesterday. He said my stomach was red and irritated and took a culture, checking for the presence of Helico Bacter (the bacteria responsible for ulcers.) Tomorrow I go to our hospital for an ultrasound of my stomach. He also did blood work, involving my liver and pancreas. As soon as I hear something, I will let you know.
I have been doing volunteer work at our shelter, and try, if I feel up to it, to go in three days a week. I do everything for Cat Petfinders now, taking pictures and posting them on Petfinder's website. I have about 100 cats I have done, so far; many have been adopted. There are about 60 viewable ones, right now. I also love to spend time socializing the cats, and whatever clean-up is necessary. You can see Panhandle Animal Shelter's Cat Petfinder site HERE. The first entry I call "The Kittens" and it is a work in progress, as it changes almost daily. The work is so rewarding and I really love it.

Your photos are awesome! There is almost nothing as satisfying as seeing a kitty get a wonderful Forever home.
I hope all your test results come out good! Miss ya!
Thanks for the update. We have been thinking about you and purring for you a lot. Mama wants to know if you are still thinking about the I operation. But we both want you to be healthy, and do admire the work you are doing for the furry ones. Whatever makes you happy and fulfilled and not stressed out at this bad time is wonderful, but helping others--we are sending you an award. havent posted it yet, but it is coming.

We hope the doctor has some good news for you soon. We have been missing you.
Is the Ghost on the website the same one who came around all winter to eat?

I got paws crossed that your stomach is easily fixed.
I really hope that whatever is wrong with your stomach is easy to fix. Your pictures are great!
How wonderful you help those kitties find forever homes.
We are turning our purr and prayer buttons on high that your tummy is fixed right away. purrrrrs
We are glad for the update! Hopefully your tummy issues will be sorted out & treated soon and you'll be all better.
Local authorities busted a cat hoarder here a couple days ago. 118 cats in a trailer house. The urine (ammonia) smell was so bad peoples eyes would water just standing outside the door! The people slept on a dirty mattress on the kitchen floor because the cats took over the bedroom. The good news is that the shelter they went to has been inundated with adoption requests-130 I heard today.
Good work, hope all become well. FAZ
Helping someone else who needs it is always good for the spirit. We hope the human v*ts figure out how to make you feel better, too.
Hope you get a good report from your tests. Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day to all in The Big Piney Woods. Thanks for the update.
Good luck with the Dr.s and Happy Valentines Day. We'll keep purraying for you.
We have bad news about the cats that were rescued from the cat horder. All 120 (they found more) had to be euthanized. None were fit to be adopted. Every one of them had ringworm, feline aids, herpes and infections going along with mental & psychological problems. They were all crammed into a small trailer with that couple, living in feces & garbage. Poor kitties.
