The last of the leaves fell right after these pictures were taken. The Big Piney Woods is ready for winter. Shovels and snow blower are handy, Husband has been picking as many leaves up as he can with the bagger on the lawnmower, piles of leaves are being burned, Mistrie has her winter coat, we have ours. The days are short now and we have had three hard frosts. The girls are looking forward to long winter naps. Goodbye fall.

Goodbye, Fall! You were a good season. It looks like every season is pretty where you live.
You guys weawwy wive in an awesome pwace! Beautiful!
When does the snow generally start to fall in the Piney Woods? Last year in the Twin Cities dad was golfing on Thanksgiving and we didn't get snow until a couple days before Christmas.
The scenery is gorgeous. I'm glad everyone is ready for winter. It's getting colder here, too. Luckily, it's still fall here.
I just LOVE to see pictures of your beautiful home and land surrounding a little piece of heaven on earth. It is still warm here in Florida. We are waiting for our first breeze of cooler air. They keep promising but so far nothing but warmth...we are still using our A/C.....

wow, all the leafs felld off our maple tree in 3 hours last week. and they hadn't all turned colors yet stoopid drought.
it wsa 70 degrees here on halloween. no hard frosts yet either. mommy's day lillies are blooming againg and she is MAD about that.
Goodness, most of our trees still have their leaves on them. But it has now just finally gotten to being freezing level this week. So now we need wind to help bring them down.
P.S. I know you make lots of warm places for Mistrie, but I still worry about her being outside.
I Dare You!
Yes, It is ME, Anastasia! Karl was thoughtful enough to put the Dare out on the Day of the Dead, so I can come personally! And if you don't accept the challenge, I might just come again and haunt you, Hahahahahahahahaha!

My dearest Patches Lady,
Thank you for showing us pictures of your beautiful region. Please come over any time you'd like to snuggle -- I will keep you nice and warm, Milady!
It is cooling off in East Tennessee, too -- at last! I am glad. With as much fur as I have, I like cooler temperatures.
Love and rumbly purrs from Your Brainball.
We will miss Autumn a lot. But winter can be nice too!
We still have lots of leaves on our trees so we still have lots of time before they're bald. One thing I like to do is watch the leaves fall!
