A Warning

Identity theft is rampant among the Furless Ones. Yes, it can happen to us kitties as well. Momma says we all look different, but it is a good thing to have photo identity. What if someone, posing as you, came into your house and started eating your stinky goodness and sleeping in your bed, all the while looking like you? To protect yourself you should get a micro chip, we have them (except Mistrie) and they are good in case you get lost (we can't because we never go outside and if we do, it is a supervision walk only.) Be warned, kitty friends.

Did someone try and impersonate my bestest friend Mittens? That would be awful! Sammy and Miles are going to be microchiped this summer. We never go out either, but they are young and you never know. - Trixie

What a beautiful face...

Last night I snuck in a mouse from outside. The guy thought he saw it but SHE said oh, no, not true.... well, at 11 last night I thought it was safe so I took it out to play with it... and SHE caught me with it. Dang! And she threw out a perfectly good mouse! But you should have seen her face.. Well, I am off looking for another.
Don't let those meany take your id. always be on the alert.

It's good to have photos of you Mittens. Momma has lots of us! She said when she was a litte girl she had a black cat and one day she came in and petted her on the chair and then went to her bedroom and there was her cat on the dresser, where she didn't normally go. She realized then that the other cat wasn't hers. But it was probably an early case of feline identity theft...

I was microchipped last year and blogged about it then. I don't get unsupervised either, but mom feels better knowing I have it just in case...and it doesn't cost a lot either!

My mama is taking me to my first trip to the V-E-T soon, and she is going to have me microchipped then. Mama is worried though, because she said that because we live in an apartment she is afraid even if someone found me they would keep me. I hope not. I would miss my mama.
P.S.
I got a new tag with my address on it last week.

Very sage advice from a beautiful kitty.

Good advice, Mittens! Hattie and I were microchipped for free by the cat shelter before we were handed over to our mum and dad. They chip all the kitties there. There was a story in the papers here the other day about a woofie who was missing for 5 years and then someone found her and a vet scanned her chip and they traced her humans, who were very surprised to get her back after all that time!

We don't have chips, and I don't think the human pet will be looking into them since we never leave the house. It seems like it could help find a lot of felines though!

Mom wants to do that to us, but the vet won't do Bonnie until she's knocked out fur somefing else like cleaning her teethies cuz it's a bigger needle. Mom's always careful about Bonnie's address tag in pictors. Mine's harder to read an only has our number.
Finny used mistaken identify to suggest I didn't pluck the plant, an he found lots of kitties who look like me!

Mine mum had me microchipt even tho I am an indoor kitty - she said it was "just in case". And she has a friend whose chipt kitty went missing, and a year went by and they moved house, so she had all the addresses changed in the chips including the missing kitty, and guess what - after 18 months Kira was found and is back home again.

We all have microchimps even though we are indoor poodies. Mom says it is incase we get out and get lost or something. Now we can say we have a monkey on our back even if it is a micro one, ahaahahahahahaha. *sigh* Shadow says that was a stupid joke, but I liked it. ~Merlin

Me too with the chip. Actually I have two. The shelter forgots I had one and gave me a new one before they let me come home with mum.

Mum says it is good, even though I don'ts go outside, just incase I sneak out some night.

It is verry good for all the kitties to have microchips even if they is only indore kitties. We will tell the story on our blog of our frends in Miss'sippy who got losted after the terribul hurrycane. Lots of kitties and droolers din't get back to there beans but some did.

Only half of us are chipped because of shelter rules. But really? I think that's the whole explanation as to why my sisters are weird.
