Lightning Storms

A few nights ago, something terribly scary happened. there were lights in the sky that looked like swords that kept flashing at us, and then, to make it worse, they made huge booming sounds. I got so scared I hid and it took The Mom forever too find me. I was in the cupboard in the kitchen; tucked behind the canned goods. I can open them up with my paws and the door shuts behind me. It is the best place, when fire lights up the sky and the clouds rumble.

Miles doesn't like the lightening. But, when Mommy holds me and kisses on me and massages my neck, I don't get upset at the swords in the sky. Mommy says I keep her from getting 'scairt of it. - Sammy

I hide under the blankets. Momma would be mad if I got in the cupboards, but then we don't have as much room in ours! Momma laughed when she saw the space as she says it's way to crowded here anyway!

We had those storms this weekend too. They were crazy. The thunderstorms were something else! Sounded like we were under attack.

I hates the loud noises like that too. I go in mom's closet and just snuggle down in my speshul blankie that mom leaves in there for me. Hope you are ok now, Miss Mittens.

I don't mind storms that much. I maybe hide in the bedroom on the bed, but not under it. Sometimes I just curl up on mama, and she pets me. What I hate is when the fire alarm goes off! Nasty loud thing! For that I hide under the bed or in the closet! Sometimes in the window, cause it's the farthest away I can get, and the curtains muffle the sound a little.

Ohhh, wow. I likes to watch storms, I don't hide. Did your mum take the picture of the lightning?

Wow, Mittens - I'd bet you would be UNBEATABLE at hide-and-go-seek. I hate storms, too. They make my ears go flat and I hide under the comforter, where Mom says I look like her bed swallowed a cantalope. Harumph.

We haven't had a thunder storm here since I came to live with momma and daddy, but if we do I am going to come hide in your cupboard
with you. Momma keeps the doors to ours shut real tight so I can't get in them

Tiggy (who lives with my parents) gets very scared by thunderstorms. Her preferred hiding place is under the bed.

BTW, girls, I also wanted to let you know that I've created a new kitty blog: http://fluffyfelinefriends.blogspot.com/

Purrs and headbutts,

The rain is fine with me, but when I was younger, it would scare me. If there are really big booms from above, then Isis and I will run to the bedroom and hide underneath the bed. We only do this though if the human pet is not around. If she's here, then we'll stay out to watch the storm with her.

Yeah, I admit it: I'm a big scardy-pants!
