Ladies Club

Today is the day that Mine Mom is going to have company. She belongs to this ladies club, which she is hosting this month. As you can see, Mittens is on the look-out for early arrivals. Mom has given me strict orders to be polite and act lady-like; of course I will. She says not to jump up on any laps (even though they look soft and inviting,) because some people don't like cats.

What?????

Not like cats!

Mom doesn't know this, but we can tell who they are due to our psychic abilities, and those are the ones I shall target, hehe....... We kitties know that the ones that won't look at us and make eye contact are the ones we need to convert. Purrsonally, I think a sign should be posted out front, "Cat Lovers Only In Our Cabin." Well, they will either love me before it is over, or make a mad dash out the door. (Please don't tell Mom I wrote any of this.)

Update: Whew, they finally all left. They sat on all MY chairs and they talked loud and laughed silly and spilled crumbs (which was OK, cuz I ate them.) They weren't very friendly, even though I walked around all the chairs, scented their legs, while I chirped and looked oh, so cute. One lady was furry nice and she picked me up!!! I barely tolerate Mom picking me up.....what was she thinking of....I am supposed to be admired and adored, from afar, talked to and worshipped, that is what Mom does. Good riddance...now I have all my chairs back.

Yup we do the same. Great Gramma Julia doesn't like cats so of course when she comes over we make sure to do figure 8's around her legs. Our Uncle Dave is literally scared of cats- we think he has that cat phobia- silly for a grown man. Last time he visited, Scooby jumped up on the back of the chair he was sitting on and he nearly had a heart attack. Heh Heh.

I won't tell your mum, but that sounds like a good sign to put out. My mum has a sign that says "This house is for the comfort of our cat. Visitors must take second place. If you love cats you'll understand. If not, what are you doing here!" She was going to hang it up in the porch, but thought it might sound a bit too rude if any of those strange people who DON'T love cats came here, so it's safely inside.

How did it go today - I bet they all loved you.

Don't worry Patches, you're sure to convert them all into cat-lovers as soon as they see what fabulous kitties you and Mittens are! Jump straight on those laps, I say.

Thank you for the Ladies Day update, Ms Patches - seems like you behaved purrfectly, even if the ladies didn't know how to behave. I mean, not being friendly to you when you made so much effort? And picking you up without purrmission? Anyway, I'm glad you've got your chairs back.

Wow, our People would have locked us in a room if there were cat unlikers coming over. But no one ever comes over so I'm not worried about it. The people they would like to have over can't because one of them is allergic and would die, and dying ruins a fun evening.

Awesome that yu got the crumbs, tho!

We has a pizza livry guy who is lergic to cats. But he was polite and came in the house and said ours isn't bad, but some are really bad. So we must be good lergic cats. But he doesn't come in alla time and its hard cuz Mama needs the livry guys to come INTO the house cuz if they hold the door open, not only do they liver stuff to us, but they let stuff outta the house too, little black kitties in perticklar. Especially the littlest black kitty cuz she is a scape artist.
