Mittens just found out she won the pawtrait viewers choice at 2Carolina Cats. Thanks so much to everyone who voted for her! Thanks also to Finnegan, Buddy, and Staff for a wonderful contest.
Mine Mom has planted some catnip for the catolympic game's nap-a-thon.
After the tough competition the kitties will be ready for some fresh nip and a nap. It should be ready by June. She is going to start it in the kitchen window.
The snow lingers and has covered up the crocuses that were pushing up. Winter hangs on; we wait in anticipation as Mom talks about "cabin fever." We hope she isn't sick.
The woodshed where Mistrie sleeps is getting bare. Dad has entered the "Mistrie Zone" (one row from her blanket; you can barely see the salmon color at the end of the arrow.) Mom and Dad have more wood cut and are hoping for a spring thaw so they can start piling next year's supply. They will then pull her bed foreward a bit. Thanks for all of you who have shown so much concern over our little feral. She is now "talking" to Mom and shows her love by headbutts, purring, love nipping. Mom still has to stay inside though, if she goes out, Mistrie is a ball of fur in flight.

It must be tough for your mom to want to love on Mistrie and not be able to. I am glad Mistrie has found a loving family that will accept her just the way she is--insecurities and all!
Concatulatons to Ms Mittens for winning thuh pawtrait viewers choice.
concats to Mittens! We actually voted for Mistrie, 'acause we wanted her to win somefing, but we're really happy for Mittens.
Mom's gonna try to grow catnip too. She got a cutting from a neighbor last year but it didn;t transplant well & died. Maybe from seeds is better.
Mystery is lucky. But your mom has to be safe first, because she doesn't know if Mystery has a sickness or problem she could pass on to you girls.
Congratulations Miss Mittens!
Thanks fur showing us where Mistrie lives. I worry about her sometimes. You guys gets lots of the white stuff and mom said that's cold. But it sounds like Mistrie is warming up to your beans. That's good.
You are lucky to have nice beans who chop wood to keep you cats nice and warm, and they look after Mistrie too. I'm sure spring will come for you soon. Today, as well as the crocus, snowdrops and hellebores which were already out, we have some grape hyacinths, and some big hyacinths in bud. The daffs are just teasing us by being nearly out but not quite.
Doesn't Mistri worry about getting squished? ~Merlin, Shadow, ko Ko

Mom has the cabin fever too! Is it cat-chi? Maybe Mistrie will come in this spring/summer. Mom says we have stuff called Cat Mint that her cat from before, Butchie, used to rub himself all over. That's what she'll bring in for us this early summer.
