News On Catolympics

Here is the latest from Mine Mom and Beau's Mom on the progress of the catolympics. There are over 60 signed up to compete. We need more participants for tub soccer and commentators for events. Go sign up at Beau's link above. Please check the list HERE to make sure you are registered.

Mom said the balance beam and floor exercises will be done inside the cabin, on the railing that divides the living room from the TV room. Here is a picture of the balance beam we will be using, also you can see a small portion where the floor exercise will take place. The couch will be used to mount the balance beam. (Here I am resting after a practice session.)

The screen door climb will be held on the screen door, back deck; tower climbing will be done on our cat tree in the living room; sumo wrestling, back deck next to the screen door climb competition; and track and field, outside in the Big Piney Woods. Mom is working on the course where a standard catolpymic size track will be made.
Hairball hurling, yowling, curling, high jump, small box fitting, and litter throwing will be held in the arena area, inside the oval, where the track and field event is held. Tub soccer will take place in our downstairs bathroom.

Practice up kitties, this is going to be some competition.

The GK will be cheering from the sidelines. The dear boy doesn't believe in physical exertion. Unless, of course, its someone else exerting themselves on his behalf.

Will some of the outside activities be a little enclosed? We has never been outside, so it's a little scary. - Miles

Angel should enter the hairball hurling event. She once hurled all over the chair, table, floor, window and living room carpet, all on one hurl. Mama was cleaning forever.... I think it was a projectile hurl. It must have been a surprise one, cuz usually she aims for just the carpet. never the kitchen floor, oh no, gotta get the carpet. The other day she had another suprise one and she gotted the fridge, stand up freezer and in between them both where Mama had to move the freezer to clean. And Mama watched it happen and said no angel no, stay there, stay there, its okay baby, don't move.... cuz I think she knew what moving would mean... there'd prolly be hairball hurl from the kitchen to the front door.

So I say she should enter that event.

But I'm a bit sad there isn't a running from dingleberry event. We're both pretty good at that one. Angel can run from the downstairs litter box all the way up the stairs to the other end of the house and back downstairs again in about 4 seconds. I think that is a record, being our house is like 40 feet long. And sometimes, it doesn't work and the dingleberry is still there, then she does it again. :O)

Is there still a curtain climbing event? I think I could win maybe, or get silver or bronze for sure.

    Luv Taz
