What Do You Think?

See, this is what I have to put up with. I am minding my own business and the Little Pest comes sneaking up on me. She swats at me and runs, then comes back for more. She gets all low and wiggly and watches my tail, ready to pounce. I have to go upstairs to get away from her. Thankfully, she doesn't come up there, yet. I have always been the boss of the house, until now. Somehow, I think she is undermining my authority. What do you think?

We thinks she is testing yur authority and her boundaries. She's still a little pretty silly kitty.

Yeah, she's testing. Be firm, but gentle (she's only little and she had a rough start to life). Precious just has to learn that you are The Queen of The House.

I think she wants to be your friend. She might want a snuggle, she might be thinking yu look warm and soft. But you never know. Best to keep a close watch.

I agree with the others who say that Precious is just trying to play and make friends with you. Try to remember that she is still a kitten and full of energy.

she prolly wants to play and snuggle, like the ofur kitties said. we don't think it will diminish your authority to allow a sniff or even a pat or two. an' here is why we think that:

our uncle eeker useta welcome efurry new kitty to the fambly, and watched out for them and protected them from the ofur cats who were already here.

he followed them to the litter boxes and covered up their poopie if they din't do it good enough to suit him.

an' he even let little charlie fluffytail nurse on him ('cause he was a little runty and furry insecure) until he was old enough to withstand a little rough-n-tumble wif the ofur kitties! and eekie was STILL the iron-pawed King of the Cats at our house until he went to the bridge at the age of 20.

so please try to love the little darlin' a little; she's tryin' to make friends, and you can be her best influence!

purrs,

the meowers
