Chapped Toes

Since it got cold and snowy, Momma has been rubbing some grease on her heels, before she puts her socks on. She says it is dry in the house and that is what causes the sparks to fly, whenever I sniff something or when Momma pets me. The other day, I was on the bed, when Momma was dressing. She put this grease on my toes!!! She calls it Basoline......I call it Plain Nasty Stuff. She said my pads looked chapped. I immediately cleaned it off. Don't touch my toes with that nasty stuff ever again!! (You can see how mad I am.)

We never tried the basoline stuff but one of us "who went before" used to love licking the triple antibiotic stuff. He'd probably have liked basoline too. -- Alberta,Sky, Blackie, Charlie and Maggie Fu

You should tell your mom to use coco-butter! It smells good, I like to have a sniff when my person opens the jar.

You do look mad. The good news is that you won't be constipated...

Wow Gorgeous, I'd be very very mad about that too! I mean, cats can take care of themselves. Even with the mad face I think you're so pretty!

I bet you could tolerate a little Chapstick--it's not as gross as basoline. Mom puts it all over my head when she kisses me. It doesn't seem terrible. (Of course, I can't reach to lick it off, either.)

Mom has not tried that yet, thank goodness. But Bubbles gets zapped all the time this time of year. We don't know why it is only him that gets zapped and nobody else.

Basoline? I've never heard of such stuff! But Mom & Dad are more than welcome to rub cat food on my paws!

Oh, ick! We don need no basoline on our paws. Mom calls it "zap a cat" season, an I hates it cuz sumtimes I sniff an my nose gets zapped. Efun more often, Mom pets us an our poor tender ears get zapped.
Would peanut butter werk insteada basoline? I like peanut butter.
