Sad News

It is with great sadness I pass on the news that Sue Jackson passed away from brain cancer on Aug. 12. Her blog Edsel The Pooch was one of the first ones we read. Sue came west to visit us several years ago. We got along wonderfully, like old best, friends. It will be a visit I will always cherish. It must have taken a lot of nerve for her to come out like she did, not knowing us or what to expect. Sue, I think of you often, I have missed emailing and reading your blog. The blogosphere has lost a wonderful lady.

Edsel the Pooch was also one of the first blogs we read as well.
We never had the honor of meeting Sue, but we did exchange emails.
She was indeed a wonderful lady, a legend of the CB, and our loss is so great.

Julie says..I had a hard time putting my thoughts to words over this. My best friend just lost her brother the exact, same way. I'm numb and feel helpless for families in pain and friends grieving. I'm just hoping when I look around me and there's happiness to share, I'll be more appreciative. Life is too precious for it to end so unfairly. For God's sake..

Very sad news. I have not seen Sue before, nor Edsel the Pooch, but it is sad when there is a good animal loving human who goes over the bridge.

We are leaky eyed about this and so sad. Derby remembers mum taking him outside and facing east to purr for Edsel's mom when she first got sick.

Thank you so much for your kind words about Emma. I am so very lucky to have so many great friends.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Emma. My purrs and thoughts go out to you as I know this is such a difficult time for you. The cancer is bad stuff and takes way too many each year. In the purrfect world there would be a cure and this would be a thing of the past. We can only hope and pray that this will some day be the case.
