Thank You

My heart goes out to all of you! Thank you so much for everything you said about my sweet Lady Patches. I had no idea there would be such an outpouring of love for her, even from strangers. Also, thanks to those of you who posted on your blog about her and sent others by.

Maybe you wonder why I don't have any recent photos up of my girl. I chose not to take any. I debated, believe me, but I decided it would be too heartbreaking to look at them, I prefer to remember her the way she was before she got sick. I can still see her that way, and hope that time will erase that memory, it wasn't good and weighs on me heavily.

If tears could be measured I think I have cried an ocean.

I am hoping that someday she will return to me, in a dream maybe, on the breeze, or in a shadow. Maybe a soft "mack mack", a touch of whiskers on my face, a paw on my arm; something to signal "all is well."

Again, thank you, everyone!!

Miss Patches is in the most important place -- she's always in your heart. She was so well loved and you gave her such a happy and contented life. She lived well and was loved well and she passed from your loving arms into the arms of the angels.

I understand about the photos. I like to remember my cats when they were in great health. I lost my 18 1/2 year old boy in September of last year, and a couple of weeks later I adopted a 3 1/2 year old girl from the local no kill shelter. Now, her shelter personality was nothing like him - she was shy, picked on, quiet, and he was loud, confident, bossy, and clingy. Within a few months, the new girl was exhibiting signs of the old guy, and at times she would sit and stare at the wall, sometimes talking to it. So when you say you hope you'll see Miss Patches again, I have to smile and know that you will... oh, you will. :)

I understand about the photos too. Of course we want to remember our beloved ones looking fit and healthy. I am sure that you will get a sign from Patches that she is watching over you and she is happy and healthy. You need to keep looking out for it, but you will get it, of that I am convinced.

We truly believe that Patches will let her presence be known to you in little ways. Mom says that she swears Scooter, the one that came before us, walks on the bed at night just as she's falling asleep...she feels his pawsteps...

Whenever you think of her, her spirit is near you. When you imagine seeing her from the corner of your eye, she is there. It's ok to grieve; you've lost an important family member. It's also ok to laugh and even state annoyance about this or that she did. Hugs to all of you, and skritches for Mittens, Precious & Mistrie.

I lost my calico girl on September 30th. Molly had hyperthyroid and kidney failure, she was 1.9kg. Her body had become so tiny and frail I hardly posted any pictures of her in those last months. I understand exactly how you feel! I always try to think of her in more robust times :-)

Purrs and whisker tickles from me. I am sorry I didn't know Patches. She was obviously so special to you. And even not knowing Patches, Mom is crying, because she knows the sadness, and wishes nobody ever had to feel it. But it was a gift you gave her to help her along her way before she became too much more sick.

To Patches Momma: All is well with her we just know it, she is laying in the sun watching over you and sending all her love to you. Momma understands about the pictures, its okay and perfectly normal for you to remember your bootiful girl healthy. Momma found it really helpful to her to print out a bunch of really great ones to put around the house for her and daddy. Sending you purrrrrrrrrrs and soft paws.

Mom Toni, me and Mistrie think we saw her, but we're not sure. I bet she will come visit you in spirit soon. Mom said it was ok for me to stay as long as I want, so I am going to stay a while longer and purr with everybody if that's ok.

She will come to you. After China (my first Meezer) crossed, I know I felt her jumping on the bed in the middle of the night for several nights. Just her way of checking on me andlettingme know she was okay and still around. We know Patches will let you know she is still around.

You are probably very wise. Every time I see a photo of Crystal taken shortly before he left us, it brings it all back.

I know the pain, just as each of the other pet bloggers does. So we're all here for you.

Hugs, purrs and tail wags.

Thank you so much for your kind words for our Inigo, I know how hard it must have been and it means a lot to us that you came by to comment.

Inigo and Patches have probably already made best friends with each other at the bridge, and it's nice to think he'll have such a special girl to be there with.

Patches will find a way of letting you know that everything is OK. My Aoise who went to the Bridge last monday gave me a short little high pitched 'eek' this morning, just as I was waking up. Patches is very near you. I send my thoughts and prayers. Aoise's Miewmie.

Oh poor Patches! It's dreadful isn't it? We lost our Scoop 3 years ago and we still miss him.

Thanks for dropping by Qwill's tribute; my mum is like you - in tears all the time. We're a bit tougher and do our tearful stuff on the inside.

Purrs, headbutts and boinkies to you!

I am like you..I have thought even today about pictures and having them when they are healthy and feeling good is easier to bear.

I send love and gentle hugs and complete understanding, dear new friend.
