Lizards losing tails is not a bad thing. It is fun takin the tail off of a lizard because it will still wiggle back and forth. We all like playing with lizards, but Mom won't let us anymore and since we are all indoor kitties the lizards aren't allowed inside. I fink they grow their tails back...I fink.

It is a trick (defense mechanism) that the lizards use when they are in trouble. If you grab onto them, their tail disconnects so they can get away from the predator. The tail stays in your paw, and the lizard runs away!

But, like Abby says, the tail still moves all around for a while, so it is a fun toy. You can think of it as a consolation prize if the lizard gets away.

The lizard will grow a new tail!

Hmmmm, that was an interesting question since we don't have lizzerds either. The tails sound like fun.

Abby and Daisy gave you the information you need. It doesn't hurt the lizard, but it is more vulnerable until the tail grows back, because it has lost it's main defense mechanism.

We have lizzards but it looks like Abby & Daisy have already answered you. We don't play with them though but the d-o-g does sometimes.
