Meezer Monday

Update: Computer is heading for the shop. Will be offline for a while.

Bonnie Big Eyes

Molly Mew

Momma took these pichers on the family camping trip (the one where little Hunter was founded.) The Meezer twins get to go outside cuz they are tethered on a rope. We all prefer to stay home.

In other news, we got the following from Diane, our favorite furless furriend, about little Hunter.

"Hunter has not had another accident :) and she continues to bounce off the walls and fly around the room trying to catch the feather toy! Mornings she has more spunk than evenings. She starts ripping around at 4:00 a.m. which is about an hour earlier than I like to get up. This a.m. I put her in the bathroom when she started ripping around ~ I could hear her in the tub flopping around playing with the shower curtain. So I turned the fan up so the white noise blocked out the craziness. I have a large dog crate ~ looks like a cage ~ that I set up outside on the lawn last night so she could come outside with me and 'Tinky. Hunter has been very curious about going down the stairs now and so I thought I would allow her outside where it was cooler than the house."

A Bisit From Gree

Mistrie, in Hemlock Haven, waiting for Gree, her bestest furriend, to teleport ofur.

Mistrie and Gree waiting for Patches to wake up.
(She is inside, on the chair.)

The had lots of fun whispering secrets in Hemlock Haven. When it cooled off, they went in search of fairies. They found a bunch, but they were all sleeping, too hot, I guess. Momma had lots of cool water for them to drink and even gave them nip. They sure got silly!!

Tagged

We have been tagged by Miles and Sammy to make up a proverb.

Patches: Some temptations a day keep the Vetguy away.

Mittens: You can make a nice lap for me, you can't make me use it.

Mistrie: A bird in the paw is worth two in the woods.

Precious: A kitten saved is a kitten earned.

Anyone can play! We tag you if you are reading this and haven't played.

Hunters, Washington

Little Hunter, who now resides across the street, was found about 15 miles from the Forest Service campground in the town of Hunters, Washington, on Lake Roosevelt, which was made when Grand Coulee Dam was built on the Columbia River. The picture belows shows the group campsite. Momma and Daddy's house, in the back of their metal monster, is second from the right.

This is the view Momma and Daddy had from their camp spot.

Diane took Hunter to the vet several days ago. Hunter is indeed a girlcat, 3 1/2 months old. She got her shots and will get roostershots in 3 weeks. Because she is an indoor girlcat, she won't get her ladygardenectomy for a few months. Here she is doing her amazing back flip.

This is Stinky, her sister. Stinky isn't thrilled with any of this, at the moment, and spends her time outside.

Looking Innocent

Sometimes Momma forgets to shut the closet door tight. I am always listening, I know when she goes in there for something, and I know if the door shuts tight or not. If it doesn't, I wait for an opportune time, saunter around, sniffing the floor, looking innocent. Then I will sit down and pretend I am thinking; all this, to throw her off. Yesterday, Daddy went in to get the card table. Precious ran over and told me the door was ajar. We hurried in, doing the best snoop we could. Then the little Squirt got caught when she tried to sneak out. Momma immediately closed the door, shutting me in!!! (I kind of felt like Jodie Foster in the movie "Panic Room.") I cried and cried. I heard Momma say she could swear she heard a kitty crying, far away. One way or the other, I was in truble. She finally figured it out and rescued me. By that time, I was famished and in a crabilated mood. Momma says that closet is off limits cuz the water pump is in there and some electric stuff she doesn't want us kitties messin wif. Well, sorry, too late. There is nothing good in there, anyway. And that, dear kitties, is the story of our day.

I Was Lonesome

Momma and Daddy have been gone a lot in the metal monster with the house on the back of it. I get real lonesome for them, although Diane comes ofur lots; I wasn't too friendly. Last night I efun let Daddy pet me! The first time efur, and I purred and headbutted him and he was furry pleased.
It is hot again, uppper 90's and 100's for the extended forecast. Momma says she is tired. Efurycat sleeps most of the time, waiting for fall and cooler weather.

A Happy Ending

A note from CalicoMom Toni....

We got back from our camping trip, and I have company, so won't be posting until things settle down. I do have a wonderful story though.......

On our way to camp in Washington, on Lake Roosevelt near Hunters, Washington, my son stopped (Meezer Dad) and found a tiny kitten crying in the woods. He left it food and water and drove to where we all were. For four days we talked about and worried about this tiny baby some heartless worm had left to die. On the way home, he drew his sister, Ronda, a map (the same sister that took two shelter cats from here because where she lives, Winnemucca, Nevada, there is no cat shelter. I posted those pictures and follow up pictures earlier this year.) Ronda stopped at the spot and called and called. Suddenly, out popped a tiny tabby, about 4 months old. She put it in her car and drove to our house. I called my pet nanny, Diane, because she had just lost her Chester about a month ago. One look, and Diane went home and got her carrier! I think she is naming her (we think it is a girl) Hunter, after the town where the campground is, and close to where she was found. Diane is an angel!!

Agusted

Yes, I am agusted. Momma and Daddy lefted us agin to go camping in the house that fits on the truck, until Friday, so I can't post until Saturday. They just got back frum camping! The only bright side is that my best new furless furriend, Diane, is coming ofur on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to talk with ME. She usually comes ofur more than she has to, cuz she luves ME!!!! Sometimes I pretend to ignore her, like I do Momma and Daddy, just cuz I am agusted.

Momma said it is a family campout and the Meezertwins will be there! There is something wrong with them, I think. They have a house on wheels and they love it. Momma is bringing the flashy thing.

I better go turn this thing off afore Diane comes and catches me.

Five Things

you can and can't do with me, Mittens the polydactyl of the Big Piney Woods:

1. I just love it when Momma pulls my tail. Now don't get me wrong, she doesn't ashully "pull" it, she more or less tugs up on it. I like it when she lifts my hiney off the floor just a tad.

2. Don't, I mean DON'T, touch my back tosies, the front ones you can massaj if you like.

3. I luv to be brushed; you can do that alla day.

4. Don't pick me up, it scares me and I hate it. I luv to lay on your lap, just let me jumpy high myself.

5. Don't touch me if you have loshun on your hands. I HATE that smell, it is not normal. Whoever bented that stinky stuff?

Too Hot!!!

I think the reason the grass is wet in the morningtime is because the fairies are sweating, as it has been above unbelievable hot in the Big Piney Woods. The trees are all crackling and dry and sigh in the wind. The dust kicks up on the road and the birds are coughing and hacking. Momma's fowlers are wilty and sad looking. I go into Hemlock Haven (behind me) or under the deck to keep cool.

Naughtiness Personified

See how sweet I am? Momma says I am naughtiness personified, whatever that means. She was trying to nap; me on one side, Mittens on the other. Mittens was being a Miss Goody Fourpaws, of course. Me, on the other hand, well, I had to make a ton of biscuits, then bite her watch. I pretended to go to sleep and then attacked the sequins on her shert. Then I bited her rings and got a tiny piece of skin. Then I had to groom, make more biscuits and dig under her butt to see what was under there. She finally got up and said she was going to forget napping. Time for me to really go to sleep now.

Pee Ess.....Momma says they are going camping again, so no posts until Friday.

Bad Mood

Yes, I feel crabilated. Precious has been non-stop stupid. I have tried bopping and whopping, I even did a tiny bite. She just shakes her head and swishes up to me and puts her pawsie in the air. No, this is not her way of saying "you win." It is her way of saying "round two." She is such a fluffy butt, but calling her names doesn't seem to affect her either. I have tried that, even calling her Piggly Wiggly, which Momma calls her cuz her tail is weird and twists and turns. Any suggestions?

Wishing

The Meezer Daddy, Leigh, builded this. He made up the plan in his head! The bucket pours real water out and speshul lights come on. There are little gnome guys inside and a treasure chest. (you can't see them.) Daddy put monies in the well and made a wish. If they would let me do it, I could use a penny of my savings (I have 3 cents now) and wish for more Temptations.
