One of Mitten's responsibilities is bug patrol. If a bug gets inside she has to kill it (and then she eats it.) Here in the cabin in The Big Piney Woods mine Mom and Dad heat with wood they cut down and store in the woodshed. There are bugs that hide out in the woodshed and come in when Dad brings it inside. Last night a big moth comed in and has been flying round the lights and the alarm clock. Mittens has been ever vigilant and the last I saw she had it on the floor, ready to pounce. She is a good bug getter.

We should divide the cat duties up among ourselves - we all try and do everything at the same time. Mittens seems to really be good at and enjoy getting the bugs.
I am the champion Bug Inspector/Catcher of the house. When mom sees a buggie, she gets me and puts me to work. I don't mind, a'cause catching buggies is what I'm good at.
Patches, Mine Daddy FEELS fine. That's the rub. He SAYS he's not worried, but Mom thinks he's just saying that so that SHE won't worry as much! :)
Patches, thanks for visiting our blog! We like to circle the bugs and paw them back and forth until Mom puts them outta their misery. I think she'd prefer that we eat them, but we mostly just play with them. Moose did kill a baby gekko once, but that just got her all upset and she took the plant digger thingy and buried the gekko in the garden. We can't figure her out.

Brach is the fierce bug-hunter in our house. I have better things to do.
When Mom sees him with a bug, she usually jumps up and grabs a paper towel to grab his prey before he can eat it. She seems to think it's gross for him to dine on a freshly-killed (or sometimes live) bugs.
Uh...HELLO?! If we were allowed outside, what do you think we'd be eating, lady? We certainly don't know how to run the grill...
We all love chasing bugs! Flying cockroaches are the best but they just make Mom scream. There's nothing better than live toys!

You eat bugs? Euwwww. Mum usually keeps the bugs under contol. But it is winter now, so we don't see many bugs now.
Oh, I *love* moths!
Nana & Papa brought the table in from the farm for Chrissmuss and there were moffs on it taking a nap and when the house warmed them up, they woked up and we had a bunch of moffs. I fink there is still one hiding, but we'll find it. else there won't be no more bugs til spring. We like bugs too

I *love* bugs. I watch spiders to wait for them to come within reach, but big night moths are the bestest! If I ever went outside, I'd catch birds real good, but until then, when my woman says, "Get the bug, Bonnie" I go on alert. Ladybugs, too.
